SPIDERSS is an application for your mobile phone, which features a powerful RSS reader and an Internet browser. With SPIDERSS you can have your news and updates from your favorite websites in one single application.

- Q. Can I use SPIDERSS on my mobile phone?

SPIDERSS is an application for Android handsets. We have tested HTC Dream (G-1), HTC Magic (HT-03), Motorola Milestone (Verzon’s Droid). If you have a problem and can not run it, please let us know here.
Please make sure you have a data/Internet connection from your mobile network operator. Please ask your mobile network operator for details.
- Q. Is SPIDERSS free?

Yes, SPIDERSS beta version is totally free. But you will have to pay the data/Internet connection fee to your mobile network operator.
- Q. How can I get SPIDERSS?

SPIDERSS is available in the Android Market, so to get SPIDERSS, you just need to go to Android Market on your Android phone and search SPIDERSS.
- Q. Do I need to have an Internet data plan?

Yes, you do. Please ask your mobile network operator for details.
- Q. What are the APN settings for SPIDERSS?

SPIDERSS uses the same APN settings that your Internet connection uses. Please ask your mobile network operator about the APN settings to access the Internet from your mobile phone and how to configure it.

Please refer to the following table for an explanation on the main features of SPIDERSS:
Features Address Box Use the address box to input the URL you would like to browse. After inputting the URL, browser will start. Web Search Box Use the Web Search Box to input a key word for search. The default search engine can be replaced by tapping the icon next to search box.
After inputting a key word, the search result from the selected search engine will be displayed by the browser.My Feeds Display the management page of the RSS feeds added by the user. Use the My feeds button to delete RSS sources you do not wish to check anymore. Show All Use this icon, to show all the RSS feeds you have registered, and to unselect the icons from the Application Deck. 
Click to refresh the feeds on your homepage. New Display only the unread articles. Read All Treat all the articles as already read. 
Select as a bookmark by clicking the star mark on the right part of the article list. 
Edit the bookmarks. 
Close the window. Application Deck Click the icon on the application deck to display the latest feeds from the application. Only one icon can be selected at the same time. Selection can be switchable by clicking the icon. For example, selecting twitter icon, twitter timeline will be displayed on the Article List. By clicking "Show All" button on the upper right of the application deck, all the articles will be displayed on the Article List.
You will need to authorize SPIDERSS to access your application in order to have the feeds in SPIDERSS homepage.Twitter Open a RSS feed and click Menu->Share->Twitter-> follow the authorization process. Facebook Click Menu->Preferences->Facebook news feed autherization-> follow the authorization process. You will need to authorize access to your wall and offline access. Home Tab RSS feeds, twitter tweets and Facebook news feed are displayed. Bookmarks Tab Displays the bookmarks list of SPIDERSS Browser. Pages Tab Displays the Browser’s Active Windows List and the Browser’s History List. Article List Displays RSS feeds, twitter tweets, and Facebook news feed. Browser will start by clicking an article. MENU Home Go to Home page of SPIDERSS. Bookmarks Go to Bookmark page. Pages Go to Pages Tab. Zoom in Bigger font. Zoom out Smaller font. Share Share the URL of the selected article by SMS, email, Facebook, or Twitter. Bookmark+ Add to Bookmarks. Forward Move forward to pages already visited. Reload Refreshes the feeds on your homepage. Preferences FAQ, Contact form and Settings. Feed search RSS feed search. - Q. How can I have my Facebook and Twitter feeds on SPIDERSS?

Twitter: Open a RSS feed and click Menu->Share->Twitter-> follow the authorization process.
Facebook: Click Menu->Preferences->Facebook news feed authorization-> follow the authorization process. You will need to authorize access to your wall and offline access.
To see your Twitter/Facebook feeds, just click the icon on the Homepage.
- Q. How can I add a new RSS feed?

To add a new RSS feed, just use the SPIDERSS’s browser “use the search option or input the URL” and navigate to the webpage you would like to add and click on the RSS feed button on the webpage. This action will add the feed to your SPIDERSS.
- Q. How can I delete an existing feed source that I don’t wish to receive anymore?

On the homepage, click “My feeds” and choose the feed source you would like to delete.
Note: The default feeds can not be deleted by the user.
- Q. How can I view the RSS feeds that I haven’t read?

On SPIDERSS homepage, click “new” and only the unread RSS feeds will be shown.
- Q. Does SPIDERSS keep a record of links I have visited?

Yes, if you want to revisit a page, just click the “Pages tab” and you will find a record of the last pages you have been to.
- Q. Do I have favorites on SPIDERSS?

Yes. When browsing, click MENU->Add Bookmark to add the web page your are visiting to your Bookmarks. When you want to access it again, just click Bookmarks Tab and choose it.
- Q. Can I zoom in/out pages?

Yes, when browsing, click MENU->Zoom in/out and the page will be zoomed.
- Q. Can I change the view mode of the websites?

Yes. SPIDERSS supports two display modes:
PC Layout: The web pages are kept similar to what you see on a PC screen.
To change your display options, go to MENU->Preferences->Rendering Mode.
Recommended Layout: The pages are rearranged to fit the mobile screen.
- Q. Can I change the language?

Yes, you can choose from English, and Japanese.
To change your language settings, please go to MENU->Preferences->Language.
- Q. Can I change the default search engine?

Yes, you can change the default search engine. Go to Menu->Preferences->Search Engine and from the available search engines, choose the ones you would like to activate. Then on the homepage of SPIDERSS, if you click the search engine icon next to the search box, you can change between the available and active ones.
- Q. How can I clear the cookies of SPIDERSS?

Please go to MENU->Preferences->Clear Cookie.
- Q. Is there any end-to-end security when I use SPIDERSS?

No. We do not use the end-to-end encryption between the client and the Web server.
We use SSL communication between our server and SSL Web servers.
However, encryption between the client and our server is protected by other encryption.
If you need high and reliable security (online banking, for instance), please use the embedded mobile browser or PC browser.
We do not take responsibility for any damages that occur with using our services.
So, please use our services by your own responsibility.
